Recipes


When you click on the Recipe Icon, a new page will open within the original ORO Food page. Containing the following:

Recipe search box – You type the name of the recipe and then click on the search button.
Advanced search box– This function is used to specify further your search. You could search for a recipe according to these specifications:
  • Region
  • Country
  • Menu Division
  • Meal Type
  • Occasion
  • Keyword
NB: When a certain region is chosen, the countries related to that specific region will be displayed.

The search results will open in a new window, with the simple and advanced search box at the top of the page, followed by the statement:

“Your search returned X# of recipes.
You can refine your search & limit the number of results by searching again.
Summary search”

If the search results are many, you can refine your search further by searching by categories. For example, if you are searching for fruits and the search result is 150 recipes, you can do the following:

“Show me recipes using: apple, apricot, banana, fig, lemon, lime…”
This procedure will reduce the number of recipes.

Menu of the Day – Which is related to the theme of the week

This Week’s Dinning Suggestions – We will assign for each day of the week, from Monday till Sunday, the recipe and the picture of the dish which also corresponds to the theme of the week. More to the point, these recipes will change as each day passes.

10 Most Viewed RecipesThis section includes the 10 most viewed by members.

Famous Pastries– Are an additional feature to this section to sustain with the theme of the week.

Fast link on the left side of the recipe page (appetizers, bread, desserts, meat…)

Add to My Recipe Collection – This link allows you to add the recipe to your private collection of desired recipes. When you click on this link, a message will pop-up automatically informing you that your recipe has been added and you can check for it in “MY Recipe Collection” at the Food Club.
When you click on “Go to my Recipe Collection”, a new page will open containing all your saved recipes.

How to Rank?

At the top of the page, there is a small frame divided into 3 sections:
  • Rank this recipe! Guess it & Win a Prize!
  • 5 stars & the Go button
  • “The chefs have already given it a rank, why don’t you guess the RIGHT one & enter in a draw at the end of the month. Rank it! Click here”
As you click on the link “Click here”, a POP UP window will appear explaining the ranking procedure:
“Choose the number of stars you think that is appropriate for each of the following criteria:
  • Taste
  • Decoration
  • Preparation time
  • Availability and Cost of Ingredients
  • Popularity or Common Dish
The ranking for this recipe will be the average of all the ranks assigned for the above criteria. Then press OK

Post your Recipe

Posting a recipe in Oroplanet is not a complicated procedure. Just follow these simple steps:

  • Enter the recipe’s name in the first boxed labeled “Recipe Title”
  • Enter Region , e.g. Asian
  • Enter Country , e.g. Chinese
  • Enter Menu Division , e.g. Appetizers
  • Enter Meal Type , e.g. Breakfast
  • Enter Occasion , e.g. Christmas
  • Submit picture (if available). For more information on how to submit a picture please click here
  • Write a small description of your recipe
  • Write the ingredients in the following manner:
        • 5 lb./ 2.27 kg flour
        • 1 slice cooked bacon
        • 1/2-1 cup sugar
        • salt, to taste
        • 1 (15 oz./ 425 gr.) can tomatoes
        • 1 pie crust
  • Enter the cooking instructions in simple and concise manner
  • Specify the appropriate preparation & cooking time
  • Specify the number of servings
At the end you either click on

  • Post Recipe button to submit your recipe,
  • OR you click on Clear Recipe to delete the data entered.
